Liberia Youth IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (Youth MAG) Terms of Reference

Key Tasks

Develop the detailed program for the Liberia Youth IGF/Youth IGF meeting, including identifying themes, based on inputs from all relevant stakeholders

Determine the best ways to plan, organize, and facilitate the annual IGF meeting.

Coordinate panels and provide support and guidance to panellists, moderators, and speakers.

Attend Liberia Youth IGF MAG meetings, either virtually or in-person, as needed.

Engage in outreach communication to the wider community and integrate other networks related to Internet governance into discussions and planning.

Explore new networking and fundraising opportunities to support the event.

Identify emerging Internet governance issues and areas requiring discussion, research, or recommendations.

Assist with any other functions of the larger Liberia IGF and provide accountability to the community.

It’s important to note that decisions in the Liberia Youth IGF MAG meetings are made by consensus, and all members have an equal say. Discussions and planning will take place throughout April and June through both in-person and virtual meetings.

Membership Renewal

The Liberia Youth IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (Youth MAG) plays a crucial role in convening the Liberia Youth IGF Meeting by preparing the program, logistics, and schedule. Its mission is to enhance youth engagement and meaningful participation in the IGF process through community consultations, outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Liberia Youth IGF MAG members volunteer and serve in their personal capacity, with established linkages to their respective stakeholder groups. The membership is rotated to enhance diversity and incorporate new viewpoints. Youth MAG members serve on a voluntary basis.
